What is Permanent Make Up?

Permanent Make Up also know as “cosmetic tattoo”, “permanent Cosmetics“, “semi permanent make up” or “micro-pigmentation”, is the artistic technique of implanting pigment into the upper dermal layer of the skin. This can be done with a machine or a hand tool method, known as microblading.

Is it really Permanent?

All permanent make up will fade over time. This is why the term semi-permanent makeup is used in the industry. However, you are implanting pigment under the skin and therefore it will not completely go away.

Does it Hurt?

I use two different types of numbing agents to help alleviate any discomfort. A topical prenumb, then another during procedure that works in seconds. Everyone has a different tolerance to pain. Some clients fall asleep during a procedure while others may feel it a bit more. Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure.

What To Expect

On procedure day, forms will be filled out, before photos will be taken, pre numbing begins, and colors will be discussed. I will begin to measure and pre draw brows. Once brows are given the thumbs up by client I will go ahead and pre numb the area, after 15 minutes, procedure will begin(Eyes and lips:presume 1st, then predraw) I refer to the process in “passes”, after the first pass I can then use the secondary numbing solution. then on the second pass I am able to do most of the work. third pass is detail. then reveal! At the very end we go over aftercare, take after photos and schedule a follow up appointment. I send all clients home with aftercare instructions and ointment.
