ABOUT JOHANNA
Johanna Heise (yo-HA-na HYS) is a second generation Burlington artist. Her father, Bill Heise, worked with found metal and Johanna works with the human face. Certified as a cosmetologist over 20 years ago, she started her career as a Hair Stylist in San Francisco. While she loved the city life, the fast pace caught up with her so she slowed the pace down by moving to a Caribbean Island off the coast of Honduras called Utila. After a year of scuba diving, Johanna realized her true passion was HAIR……(and eyebrows) so she opened a Salon on the Island, “Fringe Salon”. Johanna served clients from many ethnicities and walks of life. Permanent cosmetics were met with enthusiasm in the community. From women who did not want to fuss with daily applications, to those who could not physically apply makeup due to age or illness. Her long time interest in tattooing led her to permanent Cosmetics. Johanna brings her practice to her hometown of Burlington, Vermont. Licensed, insured and BBP certified, she provides a safe, sterile and cozy environment to her clients.
