PRE PROCEDURE CARE
Stop using any skin thinners/chemical exfoliants (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation, Retinol, AHA) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment.
Brow tinting or waxing should be done 1 week prior to the procedure.
Botox or fillers should be done 3 weeks prior or 3 weeks after.
DO NOT take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E, Omega 3) 72 hours before your procedure. DO NOT consume alcohol 48 hours prior to procedure and DO NOT consume caffeine the day of procedure. These will cause excess bleeding and may affect your results.
Do not exercise 24 hours prior to procedure.
You may experience hypersensitivity and more pain around or during your menstrual cycle.
I cannot tattoo over any blemishes, sores, or moles in the brow area.
POST PROCEDURE CARE - EYEBROWS
It is very important to follow the aftercare instructions for the full 7 day healing period to ensure proper healing and color retention.
Day 1 - Absorb after the procedure: Gently blot the area with clean damp tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 30 minutes for 2 hours following the procedure, then every hour for the rest of the day. Removing this fluid prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluids and minimizes buildup.
Day 2-7 - Cleanse: Gently wash with tepid water and a gentle soap(dove/dial/baby shampoo) morning and night to remove bacteria, build up of product and oils and dead skin. Rinse and pat dry with a clean paper towel. Let skin dry 100% before applying ointment.
Day 2-7 - Moisture: Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment with a cotton swab or clean fingertip and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. Never apply the ointment to a wet or damp tattoo.
WHAT TO EXPECT
At first, your brows will feel darker and more defined and in some cases, warmer in color.
Remember, this is a 2 step process, DO NOT expect your brows to heal perfectly after your initial visit. Keep in mind, your brows will change day to day during the healing process, it takes time, so please be patient.
Around day 4 or 5 you will start to experience the exfoliation/flaking process. Let any flaky or dry skin naturally exfoliate away. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color. DO NOT pick at them!
After the exfoliation process you may feel more color loss than you were expecting and a cooler tone, around week 4 the color “Blooms”
THINGS TO AVOID DURING HEALING
No hot tubs, saunas, pools, long hot showers.
No makeup, creams or exfoliants on the brows for 7-10 days.
DO NOT expose your brows to the sun during the healing process(or tanning bed). UV Rays can alter the pigment of your tattoo. Once healed, it is important to apply SPF to the brow area for the longevity your brow tattoo.
DO not use chemical exfoliants on the brow area. It will fade your tattoo prematurely. Once healed keep exfoliants 1” away from brow area.
